Mathias Lueg has joined the GOPA Group in 1994. With a strong background in infrastructure development, he has held positions of increasing responsibility within our company.

Mathias is an accomplished and highly experienced project management professional with a proven track record in overseeing and coordinating complex infrastructure projects. With a career spanning over two decades and a deep understanding of project management principles, Mathias has successfully managed projects in a wide range of infrastructure sectors, including transport, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, educational & health facilities, as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation.

As a Managing Director and Department Director, Mathias has demonstrated strong leadership skills in effectively managing and coordinating teams of technical experts, including engineers, architects, and economists. They have been responsible for the technical, financial, and administrative aspects of multiple projects, ensuring their successful execution from start to finish. Mathias is highly proficient in client relations, having developed and maintained strong partnerships with donor agencies and national partners.

He has worked with numerous international financing institutions such as KfW, GIZ, EU, EIB, EBRD, and the United Nations, as well as collaborating with government and private entities.

Mathias's extensive experience, technical expertise in infrastructure development, and exceptional project coordination skills, as well as his commitment to excellence and proven ability to deliver successful outcomes, make him an invaluable asset to the company.
