Flemming Bligaard Pedersen

Member Supervisory Board, GOPA Group

Joining the GOPA Group Supervisory Board in 2023, Flemming Bligaard Pedersen is active as CEO, executive counselor, and chair at enterprises; supporting leadership development, international business transformations, sustainable technology implementation, and dispute resolutions. He is an experienced chair at enterprise foundation and a former faculty member at Copenhagen Business School with an emphasis on board work and board leadership especially related to foundations.

From 1997 to 2001 he was the President of F.R.I, (Danish Association for Consulting Engineers); from 2004 to 2008 member of the Executive Board and Treasurer for FIDIC (Federation International des Ingenieurs-Conseils), and from 2014 to 2017 he functioned as the President for EFCA (European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations).

In 1992 Flemming Bligaard Pedersen was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive of Ramboll after heading the merger with B. Højlund Rasmussen A/S. In 2003 he was nominated as the CEO of the Nordic company: Rambøll Gruppen A/S (Ramboll Group A/S). In the position of Group CEO, he deeply engaged in all aspects of general management and developing strategies and new models for business leadership. After 20 years’ tenure having led the growth of Ramboll from 800 to 9900 employees, he resigned as CEO in 2012. Afterward, from 2014 to 2020, he supported the further development of Ramboll as Chair of the Trustees of the Ramboll Foundation, the principal and majority owner of the Ramboll Group.

Flemming Bligaard Pedersen has a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Dynamics from the Technical University of Denmark.
