Johannes Buschmeier is the Managing Director (CEO) of AFC Agriculture and Finance Consultants in Bonn since 2007. After his studies of agricultural economics at the Georg August University of Göttingen, he started to manage projects in agriculture, agribusiness and financial sector development in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. He has worked intensively in the field of agricultural value chain promotion and financing in recent years on behalf of numerous donors like GIZ, EIB, KFW, EC, BMEL, ADB and WB.

He was invited frequently as speaker or moderator to high level conferences, like the annual German-African Agribusiness Forum in Berlin, organized by the “Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft”.

Professional memberships on behalf of AFC include “VBI-Auslandausschuss”, German Agribusiness Alliance (GAA), „DLG Ausschuss internationale Partnerschaften“ and „GIZ-FAK Nachhaltige Wirtschaftsförderung“

Johannes Buschmeier is member of the GOPA Group Directors Forum since its foundation.
