GOPA Expands Its Presence in Central Asia

With the launch of its first office in Tashkent, GOPA takes a significant step to enhance its role in Uzbekistan's reform journey. This office will play a key role in advancing “Uzbekistan's New Development Strategy – 2030”, concentrating on areas such as energy efficiency, sustainable urban development, transportation, telecommunications, agribusiness, and the green economy.

Managing Director, Rakhilya Nurbaeva, expressed her pride in opening the GOPA Uzbekistan office, highlighting its mission to leverage the vast opportunities in Uzbekistan. These opportunities include the potential for expanding the services sector and managing the rapid population growth to bolster social services and infrastructure. By focusing on quality job creation and sustainable resource management, Uzbekistan is poised for a resilient and prosperous future.

 

GOPA Group COO, Thomas Franke, represented the technical expert companies within GOPA at the inauguration event and outlined the wide range of services offered across all sectors, highlighting the group's depth of expertise. “We transform the political will into projects for a better life in Uzbekistan”, said Thomas Franke when being asked about GOPA´s mission in the country.  He shared insights into several of the over 50 successful projects completed in Uzbekistan over the past 24 years, showcasing this significant mission statement.

Moreover, Johannes Buschmeier, Managing Director of GOPA AFC, took the opportunity to welcome local partners and clients, drawing on his deep expertise in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. He highlighted GOPA's commitment to strengthening collaboration with stakeholders and working hand in hand to promote sustainable development in the region.
